Notary Signing Agent Restrictions in Connecticut

Attorney involvement is required under Connecticut law and prohibits out-of-state attorneys and persons who are not Connecticut attorneys from conducting real estate closings for most mortgage loans.  Home equity lines of credit, loans that don't require the issuance of a title insurance policy, and loans for property located in other states are excluded.
